New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 3900 block of Downman Road, near Hwy. 90.
Police say shortly before 4:30 p.m. Friday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a shooting in that location.
"Initial information shows an adult male gunshot wound victim who has been declared deceased on scene," said Officer Jonathan Morris in the NOPD Public Affairs Division.

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
