New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 800 block of North Tonti Street.
Police say shortly after 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a man shot in that location.
"Initial reports show an unknown male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds," said police in a statement.

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
