New Orleans Police are investigating a homicide near the French Quarter.
Police say shortly before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to investigate an incident in the 300 block of North Rampart St.
"Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive adult male subject inside of a hotel room," said police. "The victim was declared deceased on scene."
Investigators say the victim appears to have suffered blunt trauma.
NOLA.com reports the victim was found in a trashed room, naked and tied to the bed.
