Police in New Orleans announce the arrest of 31-year-old Sully Simmons in connection with a shooting investigation that happened Friday in the 100 block of Carondelet Street.
“At about 11:50 p.m., NOPD Eighth District officers responded to a call regarding a female who had been shot in the leg,” said an NOPD report. “Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to determine Simmons to be the perpetrator of the shooting and obtained a warrant for her arrest.”
Police say Simmons surrendered to police on Monday and was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center on a charge of aggravated second-degree battery.
