Less than 24 hours after the New Orleans Police Department responded to a homicide in Bayou St. John, authorities say they’ve arrested a suspect in the case.
Enrique Garcia is accused of shooting and killing a man on Dumaine Street near North Rendon Saturday morning. Police say the victim, whose name police have not yet released, died at an area hospital.
Police have not yet said what the motive is.
Garcia is now in custody at the Orleans Parish Jail. He’s facing a second-degree murder charge.
