A 41-year-old man is dead after his car flipped during a Garden District crash.
According to New Orleans Police Department officials, the crash happened just before 9 p. m. Saturday on Jackson Avenue near Laurel Street.
Investigators say the man, who has not yet been formally identified, was driving northward on Jackson Avenue when he veered onto the neutral ground and hit a tree. The car then flipped. That's when, investigators say, the driver was thrown from the car.
EMS crews took the man to a hospital, where he later died.
The crash is still under investigation.
