The Saturday morning shooting in the Chef Menteur Highway was deadly, say New Orleans Police Department investigators.
According to an NOPD spokesperson, the shooting happened around 6:45 a.m. after two men got into a fight near an apartment complex on Chief Menteur near Downman Road. A woman who was at the scene shot the victim. She and the other man then left the area.
The victim died at a hospital.
