A New Orleans police officer is in the hospital after a patrol unit flipped onto its side during a Saturday morning crash.
According to our partners at NOLA.com, the crash happened around 11 a.m. on St. Charles Avenue at State Street.
NOPD officials say the SUV was not involved in a chase. According to authorities, the officer in that unit was the only person injured, and investigators do not know of any other vehicles that were involved in the crash.
The officer’s condition was not disclosed.
The case remains under investigation.
