The New Orleans Police Department has released surveillance videos and photos of a man they say may be tied to a shooting on the edge of the French Quarter that left a woman injured.
That shooting happened on around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 27 on North Rampart Street near Dumaine Street.
According to police, the suspect and the victim began arguing after they passed each other on the street. Investigators say during the argument, the suspect pulled a gun out of his bag and shot the victim in the abdomen. The woman was taken to an area hospital. Police have not disclosed her current condition.
Surveillance video shows the suspect running from the scene and putting on a jacket while fleeing.
