Update: The New Orleans Police Department announced that the parents of the child have been located.
New Orleans Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the pictured child (female, approx. 2 years old) who was found alone Saturday in the 2400 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.
At around 1:00 p.m., the pictured child was walking unattended at the location.
At the time, she was dressed in a pink and white “Minnie Mouse” shirt and a pull-up diaper.
Officers canvassed the area in order to find the child’s family or anyone who could identify her, but were unsuccessful.
