The New Orleans Police Department says a social media account is posting names of juveniles charged with crimes.
The Instagram account posted names of four individuals it says are the youths charged in a series of threats made against area schools this week.
"The New Orleans Police Department wants to make it clear that these posts are not affiliated with NOPD, nor have we confirmed the names or details shared as individuals arrested by our department," said New Orleans Police Public Information Officer Reese Harper.
Harper said sharing the personal information and images of juvenile suspects is unlawful.
WWL Radio has asked the owners of the account in question for comment and is awaiting their response.
