NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred before 10pm at the intersection of Second and South Johnson streets.
Sixth District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting at the location.
Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male with multiple gunshot wounds lying in the street.
The victim was declared dead at the scene.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.
