The Super Bowl will bring with it scores of spectators and fans who will need a place to stay, something to eat, and a little entertainment.
That means not only will New Orleans see visitors but so might the neighbors on the north shore.
St. Tammany Parish Chamber of Commerce President Lacey Osborne says being close to New Orleans does have its privileges.
"Our hotels are booking up and there is an excitement for our parish."
She says the bigger the event New Orleans attracts, the better for St. Tammany. They just saw big dividends a few months ago.
"I was definitely told after the Taylor Swift tour of the increase in business from the small business to major chains, from restaurants, to hotels, and boutique shops."
Osborne says although it is a little early too tell, she fully expects the Super Bowl to make the same impression.
