Northshore District Attorney Warren Montgomery has filed charges against a Catholic church pastor and two women, stemming from an incident at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church last fall.
Father Travis Clark, 37, was arrested after authorities say a witness provided cell-phone video of Clark and two women having group sex on the altar September 30. According to the witness, Clark was half-naked, atop the altar with two women who were in corsets and heels, using sex toys, as stage lights and a tripod-mounted camera were set around the altar.
Police booked Clark, along with 23-year-old Melissa Cheng and 41-year-old Mindy Dixon. The D.A. has charged all three with "institutional vandalism."
The three are accused of "knowingly vandalizing, defacing, or otherwise damaging property and causing damage values at over $500 and under $50,000."
New Orleans Archbishop Gregory Aymond called the act "demonic," and said the altar was removed and burned.
