It could get cold enough for frost to form tonight into tomorrow morning on the Northshore.
The frost advisory is for the northshore, St. James Parish and for Pearl River, Hancock and Harrison counties in Mississippi.
WWL-TV Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin says tonight’s warning is the first Frost Advisory for Southeast Louisiana since 1986.
According to the local Slidell office of the National Weather Service although temperatures are not expected to reach freezing, it will be cold enough for the formation of frost and plants should be protected in those areas, especially if those plants were recently put in the ground.
