So much for the nice mild weather and cool afternoon breezes.

Now comes a front of scattered thunderstorms over the CBD and across the region, developing in the late morning and afternoon with increasing temperatures.


A few storms could be intense with heavy rain, gusty winds and a lot of lightning.

While widespread flooding isn't expected, a few storms could dump a quick 1-2 inches.

Make sure you know where to take cover at Jazz Fest incase a strong storm pops up near the fairgrounds.

This evening and tonight things go quiet with warm and humid conditions.

Things will be roughly the same for Saturday, Sunday is drier with highs in the upper 80s.
