New Orleans police are investigating two early morning shootings, one of which left a man dead.
The homicide happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday at a gas station on General DeGaulle Drive near Cypress Acres Drive in Algiers. Police say they found the victim dead at the scene when they arrived.
The other shooting took place around 3 a.m. Tuesday on Prytania Street near Constantinople Street in Uptown. Police say the victim, a woman, sought help at a local emergency room. Hospital personnel then notified police. The victim's condition was not disclosed.
