A malfunction in the Claiborne Bridge caused cars to drop nearly 4 ½ feet Tuesday night, according to a tweet by New Orleans EMS.
None of the cars fell into the water, and there were no fatalities. One person was transported to the hospital for further treatment.
Six others refused treatment
New Orleans EMS initially reported two were transported to the hospital but later corrected it.
In the video tweeted out, traffic can be seen stopped and the gap in the bridge is clearly visible.
