An Uptown shooting has left a person dead and police searching for answers.
According to New Orleans Police Department investigators, that shooting happened around 5:45 p.m. on Spruce Street near Cambronne Street.
Officers say they responded after someone called 911 about shots fired in the area. When they arrived, they found the victim. An EMS crew took the victim to the hospital, where he later died.
The case remains under investigation.
