A one-year-old baby is the victim of a shooting in New Orleans.
The incident happened at the Costco Gas Station off Carrollton Avenue on Dublin Street around 3pm this afternoon.
Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the infant to a local hospital.
The condition of the child is not available.
The Costco gas station, which traditionally has the cheapest gas prices in the area, is a hotbed of activity for drivers filling up.
It is also where a New Orleans Resident was carjacked, suffering a fractured skull in the crime.
According to the Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate this is the third small child to be the victim of a gun crime in the City.
A two-year-old was shot and killed in June in the Hollygrove neighborhood.
A three-year-old girl died by gunfire in a negligent homicide in April in the French Quarter.
