A patron at a Mid-City business pushed back against crime by pushing an armed robber out of the business.
According to a report, NOPD officers responded to a call of an armed robbery at about 11:34 p.m. in the 4500 block of Toulouse Street. The Evangeline Lounge is a popular bar on the corner where the incident happened but NOPD has not confirmed if it is the business where the armed robbery took place.
The NOPD report says Jude Sheridan allegedly came into the business and pointed a gun. A civilian pushed the suspect out of the business and the suspect fled the location. The Sheridan was later apprehended by NOPD.
