A pedestrian is dead after a crash that New Orleans police say was a hit-and-run.
That crash happened around 10 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Ridgeway Boulevard in New Orleans East. According to investigators, the car drove away from the scene after striking the victim.
EMS crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
