Did you hear a loud noise Tuesday night?
"We heard the boom in Bay St. Louis," one person texted WWL Radio.
It came after a viewer shared video with WWL TV:
Others reported windows rattling and walls shaking in the Slidell area.
Some asked if it was activity at Stennis Space Center.
The last Space Launch System engine test Stennis announced was more than three weeks ago with a "hotfire" on January 27th, 2024.
The United States Geological Survey does not report any seismic activity in the area.
Past booms have been attributed to jets breaking the sound barrier, electrical equipment failing or other small explosions.
No power outages have been reported in the area.
We are not seeing any reports of damage or injuries from any incidents in the region.
