The New Orleans Police Department says it has detained one person after a reported disturbance at University Medical Center.
"A call came in about a subject displaying a gun," said NOPD spokesman Juan Barnes. "Officers learned that the gun was actual an air gun and there was no active shooter."
Barnes said the person with the air gun is in custody and the case is being investigated.
