Saturday night, firefighters with the New Orleans Fire Department battled a 3-alarm fire at a storage facility in the 5400 block of S. Carrollton Avenue.
When firefighters arrived they found an open storage unit with a vehicle inside on fire at the Public Storage self-storage facility.
The fire had spread to the two other units next to the unit on fire. Firefighters used axes and heavy-duty circular saws to cut their way into the other units to fight the spreading fire.

The fire was eventually brought under control at about 10:46 p.m. No one was hurt and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
