Police in McComb, Miss., are investigating a double shooting that involved a Louisiana pastor as both victim and alleged perpetrator.
Authorities say Danny Prenell Jr., 25, shot his wife Gabrielle Prenell, 27, twice in a Hampton Inn around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Then they say he turned the gun on himself, firing once.
The couple from Alexandria, La., were both taken to Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center when responders arrived.
Gabrielle was then airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, suffering from gunshot wounds to the abdomen and arm.
Danny remained at Southwest, were he is said to be in stable condition.
Upon his discharge from the medical facility, he will be charged with multiple felonies, according to police who are also investigating the matter as a domestic violence incident.
