The two are also facing charges in another carjacking just blocks away that same night.
"On the evening of October 16, NOPD Sixth District officers responded to two reported armed carjackings that were committed within a 20-minute period," said police. "The incidents occurred in the 1000 block of Race Street and in the 1800 block of Carondelet Street. No injuries were reported in either incident. During investigation into these incidents, Sixth District detectives determined both incidents to have been committed by the same unknown black male suspects."
After an investigation, NOPD, the FBI, and Louisiana State Police arrested 18-year-old Ahmad Seals and a 16-year-old boy.
The 16-year-old was arrested on three counts of armed robbery with a firearm and one count of juvenile in illegal possession of a firearm and for possessing a handgun during the commission of a crime of violence.
Seals was booked on three counts of principle to armed robbery.
