New Orleans Police are reporting a death in Uptown New Orleans that appears to be carbon monoxide-related.
According to police, the man was found dead at a business on Freret St.
Police say there was a generator in use there that was "not being properly ventilated."
New Orleans EMS this morning rescued eleven people from inside a single-family home where a generator was being run indoors.
Nine people were hospitalized Tuesday with carbon monoxide poisoning in an incident in St. Tammany Parish. Authorities say they had a generator running inside a garage.
Generators are only to be used outdoors, in an open and well-ventilated area, and should be kept 20 feet away from occupied structures.
