Thousands of residents and businesses in Jefferson Parish’s River Ridge, Harahan, and Kenner neighborhood woke up Monday morning to no power to their homes and businesses.
Entergy’s outage map showed around 6 am over 7,000 Entergy customers without power.
As of 10 am power has been restored to River Ridge and according to Entergy's outage map.
An Entergy spokesperson says the power outage is due to an issue with a substation that serves the areas according to WWLTV.
Entergy says the power outage hit between 2 and 3 am on Monday.
