Authorities are still searching for Cara, a 12-foot-long Burmese python that is still on the loose inside the Mall of Louisiana.
As of today, the snake has not been found. Blue Zoo employees and Baton Rouge zoo staff are still searching, some even used night-vision goggles in their search for the missing snake according to reports.
As The Advocate reports, the python, named Cara, escaped about 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday morning from its enclosure at the Blue Zoo Aquarium inside the mall. The mall has reopened but the Blue Zoo remained closed while first responders search for the snake on the loose inside.
The mall was temporarily shut down for public safety as first-responders searched for the missing snake says a St. George Fire Department spokesperson. The mall has since reopened.
