The campaign to force a recall election of New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell won the first round in New Orleans' Civil District Court today, with a judge ruling the campaign does not have to release the list of the signatures on its petition.
Recall vice-chair Eileen Carter says no names will be made public until the petitions are handed over to the registrar of voters.
The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate sued for their release, arguing that the names of people signing the petition are public record.
