
A New Orleans police officer is facing malfeasance, theft, and access device fraud charges.
Our partners at NOLA.com report that police arrested 35-year-old Korey Jones on Wednesday after he allegedly used an NOPD fuel card to buy gas for his personal vehicle.
According to court documents, Jones used the NOPD gas card to buy 165 gallons of gas for his Jeep, costing the city $412.50. The court documents also state that Jones's Jeep appeared to have no license plate.
The NOPD Public Integrity Bureau is investigating the incident.
