The longtime New Orleans City Council clerk has reportedly been fired over sexual harassment complaints.
Lora Johnson had served as council clerk for 11 years and was a city employee for 35 years before she was let go.
According to our partners at NOLA.com, multiple council employees raised complaints that Johnson inappropriately touched them, used demeaning language, and intimidated them. Those incidents, the report said, happened beween 2015 and 2023.
NOLA.com says Johnson hung up on a reporter who called her for comment.
