A Louisiana National Guard soldier faces charges after pulling a gun on a fellow guard member.
The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate reports Pvt. Justin Edwards of Kentwood was "practicing fighting moves" with a another soldier, when he was kicked in the genitals. Authorities say the enraged private pulled a gun and threatened to kill the other guard member.
The two were assigned to the distribution site at the Alario Center in Westwego, where guard members had been handing out ice, water, and food. The incident happened several hours after the site had closed for the day.
Military Police apprehended Edwards and turned him over to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. He faces charges of aggravated assault with a firearm.
