News sources report that Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries agents are investigating what led to two vessels crashing into each other on Lake Pontchartrain.
It happened Sunday night near Slidell. It is reported that an 18-foot Bay boat and a 14-foot boat collided. The crash ejected two people into the water. One boater received minor injuries while the other boater had broken bones and was recovered by a passing boat.
Both people were wearing personal floatation vests. The person with broken bones was transported to University Medical Hospital by EMS waiting onshore.
No one was injured in the other boat. The crash remains under investigation.
