Authorities say there are "dangerous" conditions in place when it comes to the risk of wildfires.
"Due to windy conditions and low relative humidity values today, the National Weather Service in conjunction with State and Federal officials, have issued a RED FLAG WARNING," the New Orleans NWS office posted.
The warning runs through the evening.
"Please observe fire safety rules and do not burn outdoors (note that this applies having candles in your jack-o-lanterns)."
Many communities just recently lifted burn bans after months of outdoor fires being prohibited amid an outbreak of wildfires across the state during the drought conditions.
