New Orleans police report two incidents where people were robbed as they sat and dined at outdoor restaurant tables.
According to an NOPD report, the first incident happened Wednesday at 6:07 pm in the 3700 block of Banks Street.
Police say a 65-year-old woman, and a 46-year-old woman were robbed when two males approached the women’s table and stole the victim’s purses and then fled the scene.
The second incident happened the same day, a little more than two hours later, in the 3000 block of Magazine Street.
Police say the suspects exited an SUV, approached a 29-year-old woman as she sat at an outdoor table, then snatched the woman’s purse and fled. One of the suspects, a 16-year-old juvenile male, was apprehended says the report.
