In New Orleans, there’s a new alternative to alcoholic beverages - something you can drink anywhere, anytime that you’d normally have a beer or wine, but this drink contains no booze but will still get you buzzed.

Crescent 9 THC Seltzer is made by Crescent Canna, a local company based in New Orleans that makes tinctures, gummies and other Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC and CBD products. In a conversation with Crescent Canna CEO Joe Gerrity, we learned all about this seltzer drink that contains a legal amount of THC, is equivalent to drinking 1 to 2 beers, and is now available in select bars and stores. Gerrity emphasized that this is a completely legal product that has been approved by the Department of Health.

The drink itself is made with mango puree, lime juice, pineapple juice, and grapefruit juice and contains a small amount of caffeine. The drink has only 35 calories, 0 fat grams, and 9 grams of carbs. It is selling for $5 to $8 a can at bars and can also be ordered from the company's website.

The curiosity and interest shown by SOTA listeners after our interview demonstrates that Southeast Louisiana is ready for more legal cannabis products - not just to get buzzed, but to relieve aches and pains, sleep better, even help nervous pets relax when you’re away from the house. Listeners texted in by the dozen with questions like will it produce a positive result on a drug test (yes) and does it give you the munchies (probably).
