The truck was immediately located with the child found inside and unharmed.
The suspect, fled in the stolen Dodge Charger which has not yet been recovered.
This morning’s briefing was punctuated by Darlene Cusanza, President and CEO of Crimestoppers of New Orleans.
Cusanza angrily took to the microphone proclaiming: “Crimestoppers is here today because for us, this is a horrible incident. We’re just lucky that it wasn’t a hundred degrees that day and this poor infant could’ve passed away in that car. So our message today is simple: Zero tolerance.”
Cusanza offered a three thousand dollar reward leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
She also appealed for the suspect to do the right thing and turn himself in.
