A four-car crash Monday morning involved one very notable name for south Louisianians: Retired Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré, who tweeted out pictures of the accident and his gratitude to the first responders.
Honoré said in the tweet that he walked away from the accident and credited the sturdiness of his Land Cruiser, which suffered extensive damage.
He also sent a follow-up tweet that lamented that Land Cruisers are no longer made by Toyota, but assured his followers that he is "too blessed to be stressed."
The St. John the Baptist Parish fire department put out fires that damaged other cars involved in the crash, including a tractor-trailer. The accident happened near mile marker 209 of I-10 East, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
The cause of the crash is currently undetermined.
