A St. John the Baptist Parish man is booked with burglary after the sheriff's office says he cut through a wall to break into a store and steal cigarettes.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies responding to a burglar alarm from the store in Garyville on September 29 arrived to find a hole cut in the back wall, and ATV tracks leading away from the scene.
Detectives say 38-year-old Dane Wilson was caught on security video stuffing cigarettes and other items into a plastic bag, and items stolen from the store were recovered during a search of Wilson's residence.
Authorities say Wilson has a history of arrests for burglary and possession of stolen property.
Deputies arrested Wilson on October 3 and he bonded out of jail Monday, October 7.
