The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened in the Warehouse District overnight.
Police say around 2:12 a.m., Wednesday, the morning after Mardi Gras, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 800 block of South Peters Street near Republic Nola bar.
Police say a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were standing outside when an unknown vehicle drove up and the people inside began shooting into the crowd.
Both victims were struck multiple times and transported to a local hospital by EMS.
