A man was wounded after he was shot just before midnight in New Orleans CBD.
"Initial information shows an adult male victim sustained gunshot wounds to the legs and has been transported via EMS to a local hospital," NOPD said in an email.

It happened in the 100 block of Saint Charles Avenue, near Canal Street. The suspect and victim were in cars.
"Victim in his vehicle when suspect pulled alongside and shot into victim’s vehicle. Suspect fled," according to an initial police report."Initial notification was received at about 11:59 p.m."
Police did not release any information in the victim's condition. There is no word on any suspects.
