Reports of gunfire brought NOPD officers and units to the 100 block of Dauphine near Canal Street early this evening.
Despite closing Dauphine near the intersection with Iberville and conducting a search in the 6 o'clock hour, NOPD Public Information Officer Aaron Looney stated they could not locate where the shots came from and confirmed that no one was hurt by the gunfire.
The scene was released and reopened to the public after the search.
No other details about the incident were released.
