NOPD is investigating a fatal vehicle crash that occurred on Interstate 10 West just before Chef Menteur Highway and claimed the life of one victim.
At about 7:33 a.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to a call of a vehicle crash at the location.
Upon arrival and further investigation, it was determined that a white Honda Accord traveling westbound on the interstate left the roadway for unknown reasons, struck a tree and came to rest along a fence.
The sole occupant of the vehicle, an adult female, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was declared deceased at the scene.
