We started the first day of spring with frosty 20s on the Northshore and blustery 30s south of the lake.
"Don't expect spring temperatures today," WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone forecasts. "Today will stay cool in the mid 50s for highs, but we'll see some sunshine."
He says temps fall again after dark, but not as far.
"Tonight will be cold, but it looks like most stay above freezing in the upper 30s and low 40s."
Malone notes that we will see big changes in the weather this week.
"As we go through the week, things will warm up as a south wind returns to the area. We'll be back in the 80s through the middle and end of the week."
The next chance of rain comes Friday with a front.
