A wrong-way crash on Interstate 10 near the Louisiana/Mississippi state line has left an Abita Springs man dead an another driver in the hospital.
The crash happened just before 11 p.m. Wednesday in the westbound lanes just inside the Louisiana boundary.
According to state troopers, Gary Clark, Jr., drove his pickup truck eastbound in the left westbound lane, hitting an 18-wheeler head-on. Clark died at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler suffered minor injuries but was still taken to a hospital by an EMS crew.
The crash remains under investigation.
