Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joseph Lopinto reports that his office is investigating a fatal stabbing that happened Sunday evening in Marrero.
“At around 5:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to a report of a disturbance in the 4100 block of Ames Blvd. When they arrived, they located a female victim suffering from at least one stab wound. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene,” the sheriff’s office said in an initial report.
Authorities say a male suspect was arrested on the scene, however, investigators have not released the suspect’s identity because the investigation is ongoing.
