A student is facing charges of terrorizing after the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's office booked the juvenile following a bomb threat at Ponchatoula High School.
Sheriff Daniel Edwards says the student posted a Snapchat message indicating a "grenade" had been left inside the school.
Investigators determined it was a prank.
Regardless of the authenticity of the threat, deputies maintained a large presence at the campus through the school day.
The student was booked with terrorizing, interference with school operations, and false communication of a bomb threat.
