"Go Saints, duh!" Saints fans are just as rabid in their support of the team. WWL cued fans on Sunday and got the typical responses: "Of course, I'm good for New Orleans!... …I'm pulling for the Saints… …New Orleans all the way, I love this place, respect all the way!"
But they are a divided camp on who will lead. Jameis Winston emerges as the supposed starting quarterback tonight, but among the fans, they are not sold on who will lead the team. OF the fans I spoke to, they were almost evenly divided between Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill.
"I trust Winston, he got that eye surgery so I think he can see things better… …Jameis, cause he's a better quarterback, Taysom isn't really a quarterback… …I'm hoping for Taysom; I honestly wanted Taysom to be the quarterback… …I think Taysom is the best choice, he can move around."
In our unscientific survey it was five for Jameis, four for Taysom.
Both sides believe their guy is the anointed leader of the Saints.
Both Hill and Winston will get a chance under center tonight.
Winston will start tonight's game but Hill is on the sideline ready to charge onto the field and go under center at a moment’s notice if things go sideways.
But as for the answer of who will lead the Saints, I think only Sean Payton really knows.
